This is a 3-day, 2-night wilderness backpacking adventure traveling some 18 miles on the Pinhoti Trail, Chinabee Silent trail, and Skyway Loop trail. It features some incredible views, waterfalls and even some backcountry swimming holes!

THE MISSION:

DAY ONE: Adams Gap to Odom’s Point (5 miles)

We’ll meet at the Adams Gap trailhead at 12:00 noon. We plan to do the loop counter-clockwise starting on the Pinhoti Trail and hiking a very strenuous 5 miles up to Odom’s Point on Talledaga Mountain where we would camp the first night. There are some large camping areas with a small brook and incredible views from the mountain top.

DAY TWO: Odom’s Point to Hubbard Creek (8 miles)
Day two, we’d hike 8 miles along the Chinabee Silent Trail passing Cheaha Falls and Devil’s Den falls, where there’s some good swimming. We then connect with the Skyway Trail, and hike south finally camping on the banks of Hubbard Creek.

DAY THREE: Hubbard Creek back to Adams Gap (5 miles)
We’ll hike about 5 miles back to our vehicles at Adam’s Gap, completing the loop. We’ll then look for a spot to grab lunch on our way home!
